Hey, it's a build I've been working on for the past league, and I think it turned out pretty well. First, I'd like to thank Alkaizerx for the idea. This guide is intended for absolute beginners. If we get good patch notes, and the build survives, I will update this forum post to be similar to ShakCentral's and Enki's ones.

You just need lvl23 purity of ice to get 5% max cold res so yes +2 on your amulet helps. Lvl21 purity of ice or +1 on wand helps as well. It says in pob my purity is 21 +3 the same as what yours is in the pob. When I swap in your neck item res goes to 90% and purity is now 21 +4.Anyway the feedback from initial 3000+ (I believe 1500 got accepted in first alpha wave and then another 1500 in the second) or so alpha testers has been vastly positive. PoE ruthless will never be as popular as PoE, and its not designed to be like that. It's designed to be a separate, challenging and fun mode.

19.5% more damage from guaranteed shock (30% increased from the minor before shaper of storms, 20% from divine judgement) -25% cold resistance. 60% AoE for clear, 15% more damage for bossing (average) So you loose ~-25% coldres, but gain 19.5% more damage - loosing even less if you now selfcast frostbite instead of Bane-ing both curses ...

This is the change I do not understand. Hypothermia is like the perfect gem thematically for cold dot builds. For a somewhat enjoyable and less frustrating mapping experience it is therefore necessary to invest a lot of points into map sustain. Several key factors:Pretty sure the increase in resistances is net negative in damage even WITH cold exposure. Also cold exposure does not stack. Also consider the proc is only on HIT. Which means you need to directly cast Vortex, Cold Snap, or wait for Orb of Storms/Storm Brand to proc it (not your DoT) and even then it's only a 25% chance to activate.Welcome everyone!
