Reference Klipsch are good speakers, just get large ones for better sound. I like my surrounds to be large too for balance, and Atmos too. If the woofers are too small you just don't get as good of a sound. 8 inches is better than 6, 6 is better than 5, 5 is better than 4. I have an STR DH590 and leave mine on Direct all the time. Surround movies or shows play in 5.1 and music plays in stereo(also utilizing the subwoofer).
